I facilitate workshops on Cultural Humility, Diversity and Inclusion, Addressing Unconscious Bias, and Participatory Photography for community and service organizations and research projects. I do collaborative research using an Art-Based Research methodology.
I live and work in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I offer Expressive Art Therapy sessions online and in person.
I have a private practice and offer group sessions with Community organizations. I have extensive experience working with immigrants and refugees, women, seniors, children and people with different abilities.
I use Cultural Humility and a culturally informed, feminist, client-centred and somatic approach in my Art Therapy practice.
In my Art Therapy practices, I use a mind-and-body approach that incorporates breathing and mindful techniques, body movement, artmaking, and photography to support mind and body wellness, resilience, and work with trauma and grief.
My goal is to provide a safe space where people can explore their experiences, connect with their feelings and emotions, and find
strategies that draw on inner strength, community, and family support. I focus on people’s strengths to create therapeutic approaches and their well-being goals. I offer services to individuals, families, dyads and groups.
