Childhood is a vulnerable time, but it is also a time of joy, learning and caring. Expressive therapy provides a safe and inviting space to process emotions, difficult life changes and traumatic experiences. Children reflect their inner worlds and learn to cope with life's challenges through play and creativity. I also help children build self-esteem and acquire strategies for coping with difficult situations and managing their emotions.
Teens often experience stress, anxiety, and depression. They can often close up and have a hard time expressing their emotions and needs. Talk therapy can be difficult for some, as there are no words to express what they are going through. Expressive therapy can help creatively unlock difficult feelings and allow them to be expressed freely, safely, and at their own pace. I offer a space free of judgment and safe; I offer a variety of materials, the use of music, digital media, and any other creative options they would like to explore.
In therapy, I offer teens somatic and creative strategies to manage anxiety and build healthy relationships.
